moves
the dictation and transcription process into the 21st century… and saves time
and money! |
|
| Did You Know…… there’s a better way to manage the
dictation and transcription process in your practice …..and reduce overall
practice costs? It’s Qualitescribe®
, a web-based medical dictation and transcription service that’s proven to
enhance office productivity and save practices time and money. Some
Qualitescribe®
features and benefits:
|
|
• Easily retrievable electronic notes and letters
• Reduced time-consuming chart pulls
• Instant access to patient information by staff
• Eliminates the search for lost tapes
• Offers dictation flexibility with portable, hand-held recorder
• Eliminates the courier process and related costs
• Ensures accurate transcription billing with electronic word count
|
|
| The hidden costs …. of traditional dictation and
transcription add up fast. Rosemarie Nelson, well-known MGMA consultant and
speaker estimates each chart pull costs a practice $5.00 to $12.00. In
addition, one practice study determined that lost charts and tapes could be
found in 39 different locations in the practice. A lot of time is lost pulling
charts and looking for misplaced and lost tapes and charts. These costs are
reduced with the Qualitescribe®
transcription service.
|
|
| The storage and convenience of digital notes… is
an important and time-saving benefit of Qualitescribe®
versus traditional dictation and transcription. The electronic medical notes
and letters are secure and easily accessible by physicians and selected staff.
Notes and letters can be pulled by patient name, date and medical record
number. Immediate and easy access improves provider and staff productivity and
Qualitescribe®
makes it easy to refile rejected claims which speeds reimbursement.
|
|
| Dictation is simple and convenient… with
Qualitescribe®
improved voice recognition technology and the simple-to-use, hand-held digital
recorder. No longer are users tied to the phone. The portability of the system
allows physicians to dictate from anywhere including the car and home.
Transcription can be pulled and reviewed from any internet-enabled PC.
“Docking” and notes transmittal from multiple sites is possible and is an added
convenience for physicians who practice from several locations.
|
|
| To begin the Qualitescribe®
process…the provider dictates into a small hand-held digital
recorder and when finished “docks” the recorder to begin sending the patient
notes electronically through an internet-enabled PC. The notes are received by
a MedManagement Transcription Editor who edits the notes and returns them
electronically to the physician for easy access and printing. A 24-hour
turnaround is guaranteed. |
|
| Accuracy and reliability…are paramount in the
dictation and transcription process and Qualitescribe®
clients are assured edited notes and letters are accurate up to 99%. Only
domestic-based editors are employed and excellent customer service is one of
the true advantages of using the Qualitescribe®
medical transcription service. |
|
| Physician time is minimized…and physicians don’t
have to learn or develop templates or spend time formatting/editing. The
dictation process is essentially the same as using traditional dictation
equipment and physicians do not have to change their regular routine in any
way.
|
|
| The system is secure…and exceeds all HIPAA
guidelines. Transcription is stored on a secure server at MedManagement, LLC
and is doubly encrypted for extra security. The electronic notes can be made
available to all staff for convenience and accessibility. Passwords can be
assigned to selected employees if necessary. |
|
| The transition costs are minimal…and there is no
provider training necessary. Only a nominal fee of the cost of the digital
recorder is required (approximately $125.00). There are no other equipment
charges and no charge for set-up. No contract is required and free trial
options are available. |
|
| Transcription costs continue to rise…and it just
make sense to switch to a system that offers the enhanced convenience and
accessibility of electronically stored notes and eliminates the hidden costs of
traditional dictation. Compare the advantages today and discover why many
practices are making the move to Qualitescribe®. |

OFFICE HARDWARE
The minimum specifications for the PC that the docking station is connected to are
128MB RAM and either Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro along with a USB connector. We
do require a High Speed Internet connection such as DSL, Cable Modem, etc. and Internet
Explorer 5.0 and higher as your browser. We cannot, however, use a traditional “dial up modem”.
|
|
| *“Every chart pull costs your
practice $5.00 to $12.00” – Rosemarie Nelson, MGMA Consultant. Using Ms.
Nelson’s low figure of $5.00 per chart pull: $5.00 per chart pull x 25 chart
pulls per day x 208 days per year = $26,000. “Chart pull” includes any instance
when a chart is referenced for any reason including references for treatments,
medications, etc. |
