MedManagement, LLC was organized in 1995 as a physician services organization
located in Birmingham, Alabama. From the outset, MedManagement has employed
individuals experienced in healthcare and medical practice management that have
been instrumental in developing its cutting edge healthcare and medical
practice products. Today, MedManagement LLC is a diversified healthcare company
that is a true leader in providing solutions to a variety of healthcare
clients.
In 1996, MedManagement signed managed care contracts with various HMOs in the
Alabama market and began assisting physicians with managed care arrangements.
By the end of 2000, the managed care market in Alabama had changed dramatically
and because of strategic and ownership changes at the various HMOs,
MedManagement exited the risk business.
In January, 2001, MedManagement reached an agreement with the market leader for
health insurance in Alabama to provide utilization management for inpatient
services as well as extensive assistance in peer review activities and
coordination of disease management programs. This agreement continues today.
In 2000, MedManagement began testing physician practice management software and
in 2001 began marketing QualityConnectMD, its proprietary software system, to
practices in Alabama. To date dozens of satisfied practices have installed and
are running on QualityConnectMD. QualityConnectMD is a “new generation”
practice management system that offers direct connectivity to Blue Cross and
Blue Shield and Medicare, speeds reimbursement, is highly customized and is
easy to learn and operate.

introduced in 2003. This speech recognition system, featuring the storage and
accessibility of electronic medical notes, offers many benefits to the
physician and the practice including cost-saving, convenience and faster
reimbursement.
